The campaign is taking place during the 2015 Rugby World Cup and encourages people to show as much commitment to giving blood and saving lives as they to to their rugby heroes.

Our fave Irish born actor, who recently challenged twitter followers to join his fantasy rugby league, is as passionate about blood donation as he is about the sport, having given blood regularly himself since 2012.

Since his first donation Damien has been actively raising awareness of the importance of blood donation and inspiring others to ‘save a life give blood’ by live tweeting his post-donation photos and ‘ReTweet’ing photos sent to him by his Twitter followers.
