Jack is back for Suspects Series 5 – with a new line-up!

Suspects is returning for Series 5 next year, with exciting new additions to the lead cast.
Damien (DS Jack Weston) will be joined in the new series by former Being Human co-star Lenora Crichlow, appearing as DS Alisha Brooks, James Murray (Cucumber, Defiance) as DCI Daniel Drummond and Perry Fitzpatrick (This Is England) as TDC Gary Roscoe. Clare-Hope Ashitey is also returning as astute, “passionate yet level headed” DC Charlie Steele.
An expanded lead cast means a larger CID team 1, including an extra Detective Sergeant and two new rankings: Trainee Detective Constable and Detective Chief Inspector.

Damien Molony and Lenora Crichlow reunite as Detective Sergeants on Suspects
We first suspected another series of our favourite crime drama had been commissioned when Damien revealed new Suspects episodes were being filmed, sharing a behind-the-scenes photo and video of himself in Jack Weston costume earlier this year.
The new series is expected to comprise six episodes, with the new cast appearing in all.
With more gripping storylines and the show’s unique and exciting, fully improvised format, we look forward to seeing how the team dynamic will change with the new line-up and cannot wait to see Hal and Annie back together on our TV screens again (no guesses for who will be making the tea!).

Suspects Series 5 will premiere in 2016 (air date tba) and is produced by Newman Street (part of FremantleMedia UK) for Channel 5.
