Damien Molony to Perform with WordTheatre 30 September, The Arts Club London

Damien will be performing with WordTheatre 30 September 2013 at The Arts Club, London UK.

No details have been given on the short story he will be reading yet, but authors include:

  • Lionel Shriver (Orange Prize winner, National Book Award finalist, Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award longlist)
  • Will Cohu (2013 PEN/Ackerly Prize shortlist,  Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award shortlist and longlist)
  • Toby Litt (Manchester Prize winner, Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award shortlist)
  • Alison MacLeod (Booker Prize shortlist, nominated for a Frank O’Conner International Short Story Award and a BBC National Short Story Award)

 

Other performers include:

  • Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey’s Cora Crawley)
  • Ben Miller (DI Richard Poole on Death in Paradise)
  • Emma Hamilton (The Cold Light of Day,The Tudors)
  • Zoe Boyle (Lavinia Swire on Downton Abbey)

 
Damien and the other actors are donating their time, proceeds go towards WordTheatre’s initiative of bringing performances to younger, less privileged audiences in Los Angeles’ public schools. The event is sponsored by EFG Private bank, known for supporting literary endeavours including The Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award.

Damien joined WordTheatre during summer 2012, giving solo and ensemble performances of short stories at Latitude Festival, Adam Street Club and Chatsworth House.
