A pompous young detective and Irishman, Flight’s initial reception at H-Division is less than warm, especially from Detective Inepector Edmund Reid (Matthew Macfadyen) who the new recruit seeks to impress for the rest of the series. Revealed early on to be a ‘man of secrets’, Flight is a character soon surrounded by intrigue, the final pieces of his puzzle only placed in the climactic series finale.
