CLEAN BREAK Episode 4 Preview: Desperate Danny gets tough in dramatic Series Finale trailer

The Clean Break series finale airs tomorrow on RTÉ One and the new episode trailer promises a dramatic conclusion.

Since its premiere last month, Clean Break has continued to be a potent slow burner, with each episode spinning the webs of Billy Roche’s suspenseful series arch even tighter. It’s no easy trick getting the balance right between drawing out a storyline and revealing just enough to keep us on the edge of our seats, but the gripping drama is showing this to be its unique quality. In fact, it is so textured that every scene, every relationship, each character exchange is so deliciously compelling that its impossible not to want to know how this masterful story will end.

In last week’s episode, the police investigation into the tiger kidnapping continued and the unfolding after effects of the event took us a little deeper into the murky undercurrents of the town.

With the cracks beginning to show and the episode ending in tragedy, we’re left with another cliffhanger and wondering what will happen next, especially to Damien’s character Danny.

It is Desmond Rane’s words about him that are ringing in our ears as we eagerly await the final instalment, wondering how it will all end.

The episode 4 synopsis and trailer (below) suggest a dramatic end to the series with things finally beginning to ‘break’ in the town of Wexford, but it is hard to see how it can all end ‘clean’ly for desperate Danny.

The wall of silence surrounding the Rane kidnapping starts to break down. Frank loses control and sets out to unmask the enemies who are plotting against him – and does not care who gets in his way. Jenny’s curiosity leads her to uncover vital evidence that places her in danger. Last in the series.

The series ender looks set to be a gripping conclusion to the intense drama, and one not to be missed.

The final episode of Clean Break series 1 airs Sunday 18 October 9.30 pm on RTÉ One.
