KILL YOUR FRIENDS Red Carpet Report: Damien Molony Reveals Ross Scoop in new video interviews

Kill Your Friends Red carpet 2

Damien hit the red carpet at the UK Kill Your Friends premiere in London on Thursday night and gave his first interviews for the film.

The treats just keep on coming from our fave actors first ever feature film, we’ve had the premiere photos, the first red carpet interview and now we have two more to enjoy, with Damien disclosing a little more info about his character.

In an interview with Red Carpet News TV, he reveals a major Ross scoop and shares his hopes for the audience reaction to the movie.

(Fair warning: spoilers alert!)

I play Ross, who is the record label’s marketing manager, and also kind of doubles as the record label’s drug dealer. So anyone who is looking for a good time comes to my character for help with that.

Hopefully they will laugh a lot, hopefully they won’t take it too seriously, because the movie doesn’t take itself too seriously. I think it’s a very tongue in cheek take on what could happen behind the scenes of a record label

Damien also chatted to PremiereScene, alongside co-stars Nicholas Hoult, Craig Roberts, Ed Skrein, Rosanna Hoult, Edward Hogg, Osy Ikhile, Owen Harris (director) and John Niven (writer).

In this interview he talks about landing the role, how he connected with the character when he read the script and shares even juicier Ross facts.

(Expect more spoilers!)

I got involved two or three days after filming and they’d already cast some of the great actors so I was so excited to get a part.

I wouldn’t say I connected with it, but I didn’t think I was ever going to be offered.. to play the drug dealer of a record label to be honest. I was this Mancunian marketing manager who was basically supplying the entire label with narcotics and fun times. It was so much fun to film.

Obviously Stelfox has no limits, he wants to be the Head of A & R at this prestigious record label and he is going to do anything he can to make sure that happens. What was great about Nic’s performance is that he has an amazing charm to him and behind the scenes he is this cut throat killer and we were just his gang of seven dwarves kind of following him around, from Cannes, to London, to the Brits..and playing these parts it’s a real gift.
