FIRST PHOTO! Damien Molony, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Owen Teale in ‘NO MAN’S LAND’ rehearsals
The first No Man’s Land rehearsal photo has been released by the play’s official Twitter page today.
It is our first fabulous look at the cast together and it is almost too much talent for one photo.
The four man play sees our fave actor back on stage alongside Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Owen Teale in less than a month’s time.
The production is set for a UK tour, opening in Sheffield 3 – 13 August, Newcastle 15 -20 August, Brighton 22 – 27 August, Cardiff 29 August – 3 September, before a run in London 8 September – 17 December at Wyndham’s theatre.
Written by Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter in 1974, No Man’s Land focusses on just four characters: “two ageing writers” Hirst and Spooner (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen) and “two sinister younger men” Foster and Briggs (Damien and Owen Teale).
The official website shares the following play synopsis.
One summer’s evening, two ageing writers, Hirst and Spooner, meet in a Hampstead pub and continue their drinking into the night at Hirst’s stately house nearby. As the pair become increasingly inebriated, and their stories increasingly unbelievable, the lively conversation soon turns into a revealing power game, further complicated by the return home of two sinister younger men.
