The DMF Top 20 Molony Moments 2016

molony moments 2016

It has been another exciting DaMo-filled year for us Molonians, with our fave actor’s talent continuing to shine on stage and screen.

Here are our top twenty Molony Moments from 2016 (in no particular order of importance!)

The year began with Damien back on our TV screens in brand new comedy Crashing, airing 11 January – 15 February on Channel 4. He played the character Anthony in 6 episodes of the quirky sitcom focussing on the lives and loves of a group of property guardians in a disused London hospital, written by and also starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Damien returned to the stage in 2016 in a very big way, in April he was announced as cast in No Man’s Land, alongside Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Patrick Stewart and Owen Teale. He performed as the character Foster in the play, with seventies gear and cockney accent. The production toured the UK through August and September, ran at Wyndham’s Theatre London until 17 December and was broadcast worldwide via NT Live on 15 December.

19. The Mega Molony Memorabilia Prize Draw

Later in the year Damien gifted the forum with very special mementos (props, costumes, signed posters, photos) from his projects (Being Human, Suspects, The Body Of An American, Tiger Raid, No Man’s Land). His exclusive goodies enabled us to run a ‘Mega’ charity Prize Draw (from 10 October to 4 December) and raise £1040 for two very important causes Combat Stress, the UK’s leading veterans’ mental health charity and Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales.

And finally…

20. This!
