New TV Role for Damien Molony in E4 Comedy Sitcom ‘GameFace’

E4

Damien has landed a new TV role in E4 comedy GameFace.

Announced by Channel 4 today, the exciting news falls on our fave actor’s birthday – cause for double celebration!

GameFace aired as a pilot episode in 2014 and was commissioned to series after receiving critical praise.

Written by and starring Roisin Conaty, the new series is already filming and is due to air on E4 later this year with six thirty minute episodes.

The sitcom centres on Marcella (Roisin Conaty), an aspiring actress with a ‘distinct world view’ who despite being ever optimistic can’t quite get her work, family or love life on track.

Damien will play her long-suffering driving instructor Jon, who becomes unexpectedly involved in her life, alongside her flat mates Caroline (Caroline Ginty) and Lucy (Nina Toussaint-White) and therapist (Karl Theobold).

Also starring are Pauline McLynn as Marcella’s Mum, Francis Magee as her furious dad and Dylan Edwards as wayward brother Billy.

This will be Damien’s second comedy TV project, appearing as Anthony in Pheobe Waller-Bridge’s quirky sitcom about a group of property guardians Crashing on Channel 4 last year.

Huge congratulations to Damien on his new role, we cannot wait to see his new character brought to life and our favourite actor back on our TV screens again!
