Damien is soon to star in another exciting new radio project!
Our favourite actor will play the title role in a five-part BBC Radio 4 drama Judas, set to broadcast every morning and evening on the five days leading up to Easter.
Written by multi award-winning writer Lucy Gannon, “this powerful drama traces the days leading up to Jesus’s death, from the perspective of the young man you never hear from: Judas.”
The production also stars Jimmy Akingbola as Jesus, Abbie Andrews as Mary, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as John and Clive Hayward as Peter, and is directed by Allegra McIlroy with sound design by Wilfredo Acosta.
More details via the programme info below.
This is the third major radio role for Damien this year, having played the male lead in two Drama on 3 productions, Tis Pity She’s A Whore as Giovanni and The Effect as Tristan, in January.
As the central character in the drama, we are excited to hear Damien in this new role and delighted to be treated to another radio project with huge accessibility.
As with all BBC radio drama, Judas will be available to listen live and on demand via the BBC Radio iplayer worldwide. Don’t miss it!
Judas broadcasts 10.45 am and 7.45 pm daily on BBC Radio 4 from 26 to 30 March.
Update!
Judas will also broadcast as an omnibus 1 – 2.15pm on BBC Radio 4 Extra Saturday 31 March.
