Damien has shared more about his role in upcoming CRADLED, and the issues raised by the film.

Airing on Sunday 7 November as part of Channel 4’s On The Edge series 3, CRADLED is described as a horror exploring the overwhelming nature of modern motherhood, with Ellora Torchia as Maia, a woman who unravels after giving birth and her perfect life descends into chaos.

Damien plays husband and Father Lenny and has revealed that the drama addresses postpartum psychosis.

Taking to his Instagram page, our fave actor posted about the film and his preparation for the role, revealing that he read the book ‘What Have I Done?’ by Laura Dockrill as part of his research. He added a recommendation for the charity Action on Postpartum Psychosis, for anyone affected by the issues in CRADLED.

He also shared a new promotional photo from the series.

The series comprises three films all exploring the theme of mental health in modern families, which air back to back on Channel 4 on Sunday. The full series will also be available to stream on All4.

On The Edge Cradled airs 10.30 pm Sunday 7 November on Channel 4 and All4.
