BRASSIC & DERRY GIRLS WIN 2023 RTS AWARDS!

Brassic and Derry Girls have won Awards at the 2023 Royal Television Society Programme Awards.

Brassic won the Comedy Drama Award, with the judges saying: “This show manages to be both funny and moving, with great performances from a supremely authentic cast.” We couldn’t agree more! It was up against Am I Being Unreasonable and Cheaters.

Damien starred alongside Joe Gilgun and Michelle Keegan as main character Dylan in the Sky comedy drama over a period four years, from series 1 to 4. His character was central to a dangerous cliffhanger at the end of series 4.

Derry Girls won the Scripted Drama and Writer (Lisa McGee) Awards. In choosing the winner the judges said, “What an incredible show, so brilliantly done. It was thrilling to see it produced so perfectly.” It was up against Big Boys and Cunk On Earth.

Damien guest starred in the critically acclaimed show as Gabriel, winning the hearts of the fans (and Mary) as ‘The Hot Plumber.’

Congrats to Damien and the Brassic and Derry Girls cast and creative teams for their well-deserved wins!
