Run by The Sunday Times and the National Theatre, the prestigious prize has been awarded to Damien for his 2011 role as Giovanni in John Ford Play ‘Tis Pity Shes a Whore at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. The ceremony took place at The National Theatre in London this afternoon.

Cush Jumbo won first prize for her Rosalind in Shakespeare’s As You Like it.

Jodie McNee came third for her role as Masha in Chekhov play Seagull

 Congratulations to Damien on this well deserved award, we are sure there will be many more to come for such a talented actor with an undoubtedly bright future.
