The Great Season 3: Damien Molony’s character revealed, BTS photo & UK release date
After months of rumours and speculation on his role, Damien’s character in The Great season 3 has been revealed!

Our fave actor guest stars as the character Nikolai in the ‘occasionally true’ dramedy series, which is now available to watch on Hulu in the US.
We can further reveal that Damien stars in a significant way in the season finale, episode 10, titled ‘Once Upon A Time.’
SECOND SPOILERS WARNING!
Based on the life and reign of Catherine The Great (Elle Fanning) and featuring an incredible ensemble cast as a glittering array of characters, Nikolai is scientist and Astronomer to the court, and appears in a number of scenes in the last episode of the season.
Most notable is his first scene with Elle Fanning, as Nikolai bursts dramatically into Catherine’s ornate room at the palace, following the best prop ever, a flying balloon. He has come to inform her of the imminent and arrival of Hailey’s Comet, and exuding passion for “the heavens” suggests Catherine organises an event for everyone to watch this rare astronomical occurrence that only happens once every seventy-five years.
Damien has shared a wonderful behind the scenes photo of him as his character, revealing his costume and the setting in this opening scene – our first look for those of us in the UK.
In addition to being passionate about science and astronomy, Nikolai is a renowned womaniser, and later in the episode connects with Catherine in a far more intimate way. He also finds himself challenged to a dual, due to his previous womanising behaviour,.

The entire season is already streaming on Hulu for US fans, and all episodes will drop in the UK on Lionsgate+ 14 July.
